The sailing Area

Preannouncement of the sailing area and the course. These information will be specified in the sailing instructions, and can until then be subject for changes.

Course

The course will be a RRS System R up-down course with selected variants:

• Upwind start - downwind finish leward to the course
• Show-of mark close to the upwind mark 
• Downwind mark will be a gate
• Upwind mark to be rounded three times, but a short course is possible in weak wind conditions

Mark 1 and 2 shall be passed to the boats portside, and is intended to be directly upwind from middle of starting line app. 15 min sailtime from startline

Mark 2 is intended to be app 100 m from mark 1 in direction 90 degrees to the wind

The gate is intended to be directly upwind from middle of starting line app. 100 m from startline

Starting line and finishing line are two different and individuel lines and can not be expected to have any placement in common.

Short course signalled with a S and C at mark 1 or 2, means : sail directly to finish after rounding mark 1a or 2a. 

Sailing Area
